About the lecture:
The WRR argues that development cooperation should not only be more effective in contributing to development, but most also be concerted with other policies, such as in trade and environment.The challenges of climate change offer an excellent example of the importance of coherence between development cooperation, environmental, energy and even trade policies in addressing the challenges.

Prof. Dr. Joyeeta Gupta
Joyeeta Gupta is professor of climate change law and policy at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and of water law and policy at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education in Delft. Her expertise is in the area of environmental law and politics. She is very involved in various academic journals and scientific committees. She has published extensively on climate change and is the author of several books on the subject. The latest addition to an impressive bibliography is her 2009 book on the evolution of water law and policy, co-edited with Professor Joseph Dellapenna.
